Aravind Eye Care System

Dr Haripriya Aravind
Dr. Haripriya Aravind represents Aravind Eye Care System on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. She is currently in charge of the Cataract and IOL Services at Aravind Eye Hospital, Chennai. In addition she oversees the paramedical training at the hospital and involved with camp activities. Her area of interest is quality assurance amongst patients undergoing cataract surgery and has developed system and tools to monitor outcomes following cataract surgery. Clinically she is also interested in performing surgery on complicated cataracts. Her recent article on Intracameral antibiotic prophylaxis to reduce postoperative endophthalmitis in a series of 2 million eyes has influenced patient care and received the Obstbaum Award for best paper in JCRS for the year 2019. She has delivered numerous orations and received awards for best paper/ video at various conferences including ASCRS and AAO and received the P Siva Reddy International Award from AIOS.

Dr Troy Cunningham is the Country Manager - India at Operation Eyesight and is a development professional with 23 years' experience in clinical care, programme planning, proposal development, research and policy development. He has held senior leadership positions in the past and has been instrumental in shaping the direction of programmes, contributing significantly to the successful achievement of prioritized objectives. He is a strategic leader, a team player and a goal achiever with experience working with both international and national non-governmental organizations. His has worked in close coordination with State/National programs and implemented assignments with UNICEF & NACO. He has led public health interventions in various health areas including HIV/AIDS, RMNCHA, TB and Nutrition Fortification.

Dr Rishi Raj Borah
Dr Rishi Raj Borah represents Orbis India on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. Dr Borah has been an integral part of the Orbis journey in India. His extensive knowledge and experience in strategic, operational and core functional aspects of healthcare management, patient care, outreach, training, advocacy and community ophthalmology services brought him to Orbis in 2007. At present, he works in the capacity of Country Director – Orbis India and leads its programs in India, Indonesia and Nepal. Rishi has committed an enormous part of his life to help ensure that children across the country have a better life. With comprehensive experience in public health and healthcare management, he has worked on different community programs with UNICEF, CORDAID, and Don Bosco Institute all revolving around his love for children. Over the years, Rishi has led the India team to develop innovative, impactful and sustainable home-grown eye careinitiatives for communities across India and Nepal, impacting the lives of millions of children.

Dr Rohit Khanna
Dr Rohit C Khanna represents LV Prasad Eye Institute on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. He is Director, Gullapalli Pratibha Rao International Centre for Advancement of Rural Eye care (GPR ICARE), LVPEI, Hyderabad. Dr Khanna is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester, USA and Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of New South Wales, Australia. His clinical areas of interest are cataract and glaucoma. Dr Rohit Khanna holds Masters in Community Eye Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Masters in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Apart from his clinical responsibility, he is also involved in Public Health training and research. In research, Dr Khanna is involved with outcomes of different interventions as well as Geriatric and Child Eye Health and have published extensively in this area. He is a on the Editorial Board of several journals. He is a member on numerous Working Group for the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and involved in capacity building of different hospitals and Institutes, both nationally and internationally. He is recipient of several grants and awards too.

Mr Kuldeep Singh
Mr. Kuldeep Singh represents the Seva Foundation on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. Mr. Singh is Program Manager - India and Bangladesh with Seva. He has worked with the Indian government, leading non-profits, and consulting firms in the past. He is a management graduate, studied sustainable development at EPFL Switzerland, inter-cultural leadership from Swedish Institute and was India legislative fellow with the Department of State, U.S. in 2016. Prior to joining Seva, he worked with NITI Aayog, Tata Trusts, CRISIL Advisory along with being in the executive committee of World Peace Initiative, Thailand and founding Vice-President of Sweden Alumni Network India- Delhi chapter. He is learning enthusiasts and creating solutions that change people’s lives lights him up.

Mr Milind Jadhav represents the Industry on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. Mr Jadhav is a Senior Director for Inclusive Business, Philanthropy & Social Impact- South Asia at Essilor India Private Limited. He is responsible for spearheading the initiatives pertaining to building affordable and innovative vision care solutions for Base of Pyramid Population. He also works to raise awareness about the socioeconomic impact of uncorrected refractive errors and quality of life benefits of visual correction. Mr Jadhav is Trustee on Essilor Vision Foundation – a trust that focuses on improving awareness and provides access to vision care to the needy. An industry veteran, he brings deep experience in setting up new businesses that entails strategizing and efficient execution for last mile connectivity.

Lion J P Singh represents Lions Clubs International Foundation on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. Lion JP Singh joined Lionism in 1989 and was the Past International Director of Lions Clubs International. He has been decorated with Highest award of Lions clubs, “Ambassador of Goodwill” Award. He is highly decorated Lion Leader with lot of achievements on record. He was instrumental in planning & establishing District 321-A2 Lions Blood Bank at Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, Lions Blood Bank East Delhi, Lions Blood Bank Kundli Haryana and a Dialysis Centre in Shalimar Bagh Delhi and is associated with many food for hunger and many other health initiatives. He is a Trained Faculty for Leadership Development from Lions Clubs International. He is on Board of Covid 19 management and Covid 19 Vaccination programmes of Delhi Govt and Central Govt.
