Dr Taraprasad Das, MD, FRCS, DSc, FAMS
Dr  T P Das represents LV Prasad Eye Institute on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. He is the Vice Chairman of L V Prasad Eye Institute, India; Professor of Ophthalmology at the Sun Yet-Sen University, Guangzhou, China;  Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Rochester Medical School, Rochester, NY, USA; and Fellow, National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. He has received 18 research grants, 26 national and international awards, delivered 15 named lectures, and published 250 papers including 40 book chapters and edited/written 9 books. Dr Das’s executive positions also include Regional Chair, International Agency for Prevention of Blindness, South East Asia (IAPB, SEAR), President Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, and Member task force for Diabetic Retinopathy and 13th Five-year plan, Government of India. He was honored Honaris Causa by the Ravenshaw University in 2011 and Padma Sri by the Government of India in 2013.

Mr Anup Zimba, represents Operation Eyesight Universal on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. Mr Zimba is currently Country Manager, Operation Eyesight Universal (OEU), which he joined in 2014 and has advanced through progressively more responsible positions. Prior to joining Operation Eyesight, Mr Zimba began his career as Administrator at Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital, West Bengal before becoming the Chief Executive Officer at Bansara Eye Hospital, Shillong, Meghalaya. He has vast experience in public health and community eye health with the government and various NGOs and INGOs. Mr Zimba is a qualified Development Professional with an MBA in health care management.

Mr R Govind Hari  represents Pushpagiri Vitreo Retina Institute on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA.  Mr Hari is a social entrepreneur focused on community and specialised eye care, prevention of avoidable blindness, regeneration of moral values and education. Mr Govind Hari has promoted quality eye care as an affordable service in the states of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh by promoting Pushpagiri Vitreo Retina Institute, a super-specialty eye care hospital in Secunderabad, and Pushpagiri Healthcare Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., a super specialty eye care hospital in Vizinagaram. A votary of quality and affordable delivery and governance in healthcare, Mr Govind Hari holds important positions in several associations towards implementing it. He is General Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Specialty Hospitals Association (ASHA), Telangana Specialty Hospitals Association (TSHA), & Association of Healthcare Providers (India) (AHPI), Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, Joint Secretary, Eye Bank Association of India (EBAI) and Member governing council of Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO). Mr Govind Hari takes keen interest in education and regeneration of moral values.  He takes a lead role in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan SBI School in  Secunderabad as Project Director, and at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan- Rajaji Institute of Public Affairs and Administration, Secunderabad as Director.

Dr Rishi Raj Borah
Dr Rishi Raj Borah represents Orbis International on the board of VISION 2020 INDIA. He is the Country Director, India of Orbis International. Dr Rishi, a qualified veterinarian, joined Orbis in 2007 and has advanced through progressively more responsible positions. Before working in the field of eye care, Dr Rishi began his career working with a grassroots organization, Assam Moina Parijat, following which he worked on different community programs with UNICEF, CORDAID, and Don Bosco Institute all revolving around his love for children.  It was in 2004 that  Dr Rishi channeled his expertise of working with communities seamlessly into the fight against avoidable blindness. He started work at an Orbis partner hospital as Project Manager at Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati.

Mr Phanindra Babu Nukella , CEO,  VISION 2020: The Right to Sight - INDIA  has  a total of 16 years of experience at progressive capacities in not-for-profit health sector, Mr Nukella has strong competencies in providing leadership to large scale health programmes, leading the advocacy efforts with the government, and managing the partnerships with diverse forms of civil society viz. NGOs, FBOs, CBOs, private sector and the government. Special expertise includes large size team management, advocacy, organizational systems efficiency, strategic information & evaluation and coordination with international Donor organizations. Have good technical expertise in HIV/AIDS, Maternal and Child Health, and eye care programmes. He did Ph.D. in Population Sciences from a university recognized by WHO.
