VISION 2020: The Right to Sight – India is a national forum for eliminating avoidable blindness by year 2020. It is a key driver of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) joint global initiative for eliminating avoidable blindness.

The Commonwealth Eye Health Consortium

On Commonwealth Day 2014, The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust supports eye health experts to accelerate the fight against avoidable blindness. Two Indian eye care majors – the Arvavind Eye Hospital, Madurai, and the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad – are among eleven expert institutions chosen from across the world to combat prevent blindness in the Commonwealth.
