Introduction
The current web page design for the ORBIS Course website (http://www.vision2020india.org/orbiscourse/homepage.htm)
will be launched soon . The design is intended to provide the elements necessary for a useful information structure and an interface with good usability and accessibility, as well as a new appearance.
Navigation
The homepage of the website provides links to Courses, Application, Alumni, Faculty, About the programme, Students and Contact us. It also consists a standard menu bar in each and every page where you can view the submenus when you take your mouse pointer over it.It consists of menus headlined as Courses, Application, Alumni, Faculty, About the programme, Students and Contact us.
Right on top of every page a Login facility is given for the purpose of administrating the website. The administrators are classified as Course Director, Course Manager, Course Co-ordinator, Faculty. When focusing on the part of Course Director and Faculty they will be facilitated with the options of Course Summary and Resources where as the Course Manager and the Course Co-ordinator will have access to Application Form and Program Schedule inspite of the facilities availed by the former.Navigation through the website is designed to user friendly and easy downloading manner.
Apart from administrator the main users are Students for whom this site is mainly dedicated to. A student is first asked to register in this site. After his registration an ID and a Password will be generated via his mail ID. With the ID and Password a student can view resources of the course material, Programme Schedule, Profile of the organization in which he has enrolled. A student will be recognized only if he or she has enrolled for the course after due payment to the organization.
